Meet Builder – Colin Hibberd

  • Local Experts

Trading since 1881, JR Buckett and Sons have become well known for their high-quality workmanship. This has allowed us to undertake an array of building opportunities. These include speculative builds, heritage work, unique one-off house builds, alterations and extensions, whilst not forgetting the smaller works, which we appreciate are the lifeline of any business. Not only do we offer a friendly yet professional service to prospective clients, but we also thrive on collaboration and teamwork, meaning that everyone shares a tremendous sense of pride upon the completion of a project.

Due to the uncertainty presented by Covid-19 and for the safety of our employees, we closed the business on 26th March 2020. In line with government guidelines, we reopened in May, confident that are sites were Covid compliant and the workforce returned, grateful of the conscientious efforts made to provide a safe working environment.

Faced still with the challenges of both Brexit and Covid, Buckett’s success moving forward is ultimately dependent on being able to maintain a team of local skilled craftsmen and evolving with the changing times. I am supported by a strong management team and site managers, all of whom are highly motivated and understand the importance of maintaining the high standards promoted here at Buckett’s. We are also committed to training young people, in the hope that they become the future of the firm.
