Island Stories | Episode 4 – Dr Hayley Elsmore

  • Island Life

Spence Willard are proud to support Island Stories,
bringing you the unique stories of those that live
on the Isle of Wight

For our fourth episode of the podcast, we’ve been to meet Dr Hayley Elsmore at her brand-new cutting-edge aesthetics clinic in Newport – which one beauty blogger described as ‘somewhere people in London would be jealous of!’. Well-known as a popular Island GP for more than 15 years, Hayley retrained a few years ago and has quickly built up a reputation as the go-to person for ‘tweakments’ and treatments. We discussed the aesthetics industry, her ethics in terms of who she will and won’t treat, and how her procedures can help people regain their confidence – often with significant issues they’ve lived with for a long time.

She’s also passionate about the NHS on the Island and had some interesting insights into how we should be enticing more GPs to come and work here. It’s a fascinating listen from someone who is really putting the Island on the map in a competitive and growing industry.

Finally on the podcast we always ask the same quickfire 5 questions about the Island.

So here are Dr Hayley Elsmore’s 5 Island things:

1.Favourite place to eat or grab a coffee?
The Crab Shed, Steephill Cove

2.Best place for a walk, swim or meditation?
Freshwater Bay

3.Favourite Island activity?
Dog walks

4.Which Island charity is closest to your heart?
Youth Trust

5.What do you love most about this island of ours?
The fact we are an Island
